Bespoke Website Design Built to Convert and Rank
Custom-built UK websites designed around your customers and how Google ranks them. No templates, no page builders. Every project starts with a free scoping call and a fixed-price quote within 48 hours, so you know the budget and timeline before any code is written.
What we do
-
Custom design
Every layout starts from your brand, your audience and the actions you want them to take. Not a theme. Not a page-builder template. Not your competitor's site with the colours swapped.
-
Built for performance
Lightweight code, optimised images, sensible defaults. Lighthouse 95+ across performance, accessibility, best practice and SEO is the target on every project, not an afterthought.
-
SEO foundations
Schema, sitemaps, headings, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, baked in at build time. The site is rankable from day one, not retrofitted six months after launch.
-
Conversion-led
Forms, CTAs, trust signals and content blocks placed where they earn their keep. Reviewed against real Search Console and analytics data after launch, not parked the day the site goes live.
-
Easy to maintain
Custom Meta Box fields give you the controls that matter, copy, images, CTAs, section toggles, without the bloat or fragility of a page builder.
-
Built to last
Future-proof code, no plugin lock-in, clean handover documentation, optional ongoing support if you want it. The site is yours. We don't hold the keys, the licences, or the upgrade path.
How a build runs with us
Most agencies start a build with a kick-off deck and end it with a vague "we'll need another month". We work to a structured, fixed-quote process, every phase has a deliverable you sign off before we move on.
-
Free scoping call (week 0)
Thirty minutes on the phone. We learn what you're building, what success looks like, what's blocking the current site if there is one. No briefs to fill in, no pitch decks. Walk away with a fixed-price quote within 48 hours.
-
Brief, sitemap, content (weeks 1–2)
Information architecture, page-level copy briefs, content gathering. The phase that prevents the half-finished launch six months later. You sign off the structure before any pixel work starts.
-
Design + build (weeks 3–7)
High-fidelity design of the key templates, then a component-led WordPress build with Meta Box for the editing layer. Two structured rounds of feedback are baked into the timeline, no surprise revision invoices.
-
Launch + post-launch (week 8 onwards)
Pre-launch QA, 301 redirects, schema validation, Search Console and analytics setup, full handover documentation. Optional 30-day bedding-in period catches anything that surfaces in real traffic.
What "bespoke" actually means
A bespoke website is one designed and built for a specific business, audience, and set of commercial goals, from the ground up. Not a theme with the colours swapped. Not a page builder dragging blocks into a stock layout. Not your competitor's site quietly cloned with a new logo. The structure of the pages, the way the content is organised, the components that get built, the way the site is loaded into a browser, all of it is decided in the context of how your customers actually buy from you.
The case against a template is simple. Templates are easy to recognise (visitors notice when they've landed somewhere familiar), hard to optimise (every change fights the theme's underlying assumptions) and brittle when you outgrow them (the next redesign is a full rebuild, not an iteration). Page builders make the editing experience feel free but quietly compound a bloat tax, every block adds dependencies, every plugin adds a future security patch, every layout decision happens in CSS-class soup. Two years in, the site is slow, the admin is unrecognisable, and ranking has stalled.
Bespoke gets you the opposite. A site that loads quickly because it doesn't ship code it doesn't need. A site that ranks because the technical foundations, schema, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured headings, were built in, not retrofitted. A site that converts because the layout was designed around the actual decisions your customers make on the page, not around what a template happened to put in row three.
Bespoke doesn't have to mean a six-month timeline or a six-figure budget. We work to a structured process: brief, sitemap, content, design, build, launch. Each phase has a clear deliverable. Most projects run six to ten weeks from kickoff to live. The price is fixed at quote, no hourly creep, no scope-creep invoices arriving in month four. You know the number before any code is written; you know the timeline before kickoff.
If you've already got a site that you want to keep parts of, a bespoke redesign brings the foundations forward without scrapping the SEO equity, content, or brand recognition you've built. We migrate cleanly with proper redirects, preserve the URLs that earn traffic, and rebuild the underlying structure so the next two years of growth don't fight the platform.
We were completely stuck before Peak Digital was recommended to us. We got bad advice and recommendations, we were told what we wanted from a website wasn't possible and that we would have to get it built overseas. We paid hundreds of thousands for the wrong thing. Then Aidan came on board and made all the magic happen. He was so excited and passionate about our project, even researching our market and competitors, helping us clean up our design, and building us the most phenomenal website.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a bespoke website cost?
Every project gets a fixed-price quote within 48 hours of the free scoping call. The number depends on scope, a five-page site for a small service business sits in a different bracket from a 60-page multi-region build. We give you the number before any work starts, in writing, with what's included spelled out. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices in month four. If our quote isn't workable for you, we'll be honest about it on the call rather than burn the time on a proposal.
How long does a website take to build?
Most projects run six to ten weeks from kickoff to launch. Smaller scopes can land sooner; complex builds with bespoke integrations or large content migrations sit at the longer end. We commit to a timeline at quote, if something genuinely needs to slip, we tell you why and get your sign-off before it does.
WordPress, or something else?
WordPress is our default for content-led sites because it gives you a clean editing experience without forcing your team into a no-code-tool ecosystem. For ecommerce, we build on Shopify or WooCommerce depending on the catalogue size and fulfilment setup, see our Shopify and Ecommerce Websites pages for the difference. We're not religious about the platform, but we are religious about the principle: the site has to be editable by your team without a developer for routine content work.
Will the site be SEO-friendly?
SEO is built in at construction time, not bolted on later. Every site ships with proper schema (Organisation, LocalBusiness, Article, Product, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList where they apply), structured heading hierarchy, internal linking patterns that match the site's information architecture, and a sitemap connected to Search Console. Core Web Vitals are tested before launch, not first noticed when rankings drop. If you want ongoing SEO work after launch, our SEO retainer picks up where the build leaves off.
Can you redesign an existing site without losing rankings?
Yes, and getting this right is half the value of working with a team that understands SEO as well as design. We audit the existing site's URL structure, identify the pages that earn traffic, preserve those URLs, redirect anything we change with proper 301s, and migrate the content into a build that doesn't fight the search-rank signals you've already earned. Sites we redesign typically hold ranking through migration and recover any lost positions within four to eight weeks.
Do I own the website after launch?
Yes. The site is yours from day one. We don't gate the code, the database, the content, the licences, or the hosting. Handover documentation covers every credential, every plugin, every recurring renewal. If you ever decide to move agencies, you take the site with you, there's nothing to clawback and no fee to leave.
Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes. We use Meta Box to expose clean editing fields, copy, images, CTAs, section toggles, repeating blocks, in a structured WordPress admin without exposing the layout itself. Your team edits content; the design stays consistent. No theme-builder learning curve, no risk of a non-developer breaking the homepage.
Do you handle hosting?
We can. SiteGround is our default for performance-tuned WordPress hosting. We'll deploy and configure it, or we'll deploy onto your existing host if you'd rather keep the contracts where they are. Either way, we make sure the hosting tier matches the site, no wasted spend on enterprise plans for a brochure site, no underpowered shared hosting for an ecommerce build.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes, our WordPress maintenance retainer keeps the site updated, monitored, backed up, and responsive to small changes without rebuilding the agency relationship every time. Optional and unbundled from the build cost. Some clients take it; some manage their own site post-launch and call us back for projects.
What if the scope changes mid-build?
Real change requests get re-scoped and re-quoted before any new work starts. You'll see the cost and timeline impact in writing, you sign off, then we deliver. What we don't do is silent scope creep, surprise invoices in month four for work nobody flagged. The fixed-price quote at week zero is the contract, and any changes to it are transparent.
